This specialized method of organizing, pioneered by Marie Kondo in her book “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up” and in the Netflix show “Tidying Up With Marie Kondo,” is the most effective method to create lasting change in the organization of your home.

Before we start organizing, we concentrate first on your ideal home and ideal lifestyle: what do you want your home to look like? How do you want to feel when you come home at the end of the day?

Next, we start to work on your home, and we follow a very specific order. This is one of the most important parts of the KonMari Method™—we do not work room by room, like many organizational methods, but instead we work by category. We gather all of the items in a similar category together—for example, we take clothing from all parts of the house, no matter whether it’s in your closet, a mudroom, or a bin in a storage room.

Have you watched Netflix or read one of Marie’s books? You know what comes next—we make decisions on what SPARKS JOY for you! When you go through all of your possessions, you take every one and decide whether these items spark joy for you—and you make decisions on what you want to keep in your home. Those items that no longer spark joy are released with gratitude to be donated to others.
